Town and Country Kennel Club, Inc., a non-profit organization, was founded in 1947 as an all-breed kennel club based in Norman, OK and is the second oldest kennel club in the Greater Oklahoma City area.

The purpose of the Club, a member of  the American Kennel Club (AKC), is to bring together people who are interested in the advancement of pure-bred dogs by conducting a responsible breeding program and educating the public by holding all-breed dog shows.  Our meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month in Edmond, OK.  If you own, or are interested in owning, an AKC registered dog and are interested in learning more about pure-bred dogs, you may want to attend one of our educational programs.

Until 1981, Town and Country shows were held in Norman, OK, on the grounds of the South Naval Base and later at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds.  From 1981 until 2000 we held two shows a year  -  one in Norman and one in Oklahoma City. As the size of our shows increased, the show facilities available in Norman were unable to accommodate the increased number of exhibitors, so with the approval of AKC we have moved our shows to other locations.
